2019-23 Silverado Lowering Kit Builder. The easy way to Build your Lowering Kit.

These kits fit 2wd or 4wd crew cab models with exceptions as listed below.

These kits are not approved for the following models; Sierra Denali, Silverado Trailboss or ZR2, Sierra AT4 or AT4X, 2022 and new models with mono-leaf rear suspension or Magneride equipped models.

There are a few different ways to lower your 2019 and new Silverado or Sierra 1500 series 2wd or 4wd model.

For the front lowering you can either use spindles or struts/coilovers to lower it. Spindles will give you 2 inch drop and are available from both Belltech and Maxtrac. If you do opt for the spindles then you need to remember that you will require at least 18 inch wheels in order to clear them. You can also add a set of lowering struts or coilovers to get even more drop in the front or use the struts/coilovers by themselves for up to 3 inches of drop.

What's the difference between lowering struts and coilovers? Struts are the bare shock absorber and will allow you to set your ride height while assembling the factory coils onto them. You will either need to take your original struts and the new struts to a shop with a strut compressor to swap the coils over or else get your own strut compressor to do it yourself. Be aware, the coils are under a lot of force and must be taken apart with the proper tools in order to contain the force of the coils. Serious injury can occur if not handled properly. Coilovers are a complete assemble with the coils already installed on the struts and have an adjustment nut that you can access to change your ride height without having to remove them from the truck. This is a great way to fine-tune your ride height. If you chose the Ridetech coilovers you will notice that you need to select 2wd or 4wd, that's because they are using a different spring rate in the two models. You can also add a set of Ridetech angle correction upper StrongArm control arms to allow for an easier alignment.

In the rear there are several different options to lower it from 2 inches all the way down to 6 inches of drop.

The easiest to do is a 2 inch drop using a set of lowering shackles, either from Belltech or Maxtrac, whichever manufacturer you prefer. They will replace your factory rear shackles with longer ones lowering the rear. In some cases it's necessary to bend or notch the bed crossmembers for clearance.

To get a bit lower then you can add a set of Belltech rear leaf springs for 2 more inches of lowering with an easy direct replacement installation. Going this way will affect your load carrying capacity as lowered leaf spring generally are lighter than factory ones.

There is also the option to use a Maxtrac flip kit with raising hangers and shackles for a 3 or 4 inch rear drop. The Maxtrac kit will come with replacement rear shocks.

If you want to go down lower than 4 inches there are flip kits available from both Maxtrac and Belltech that will allow for 5 or 6 inches of drop. The Maxtrac flip kits will come with shocks, the Belltech ones will not so you will need to order a pair of rear shocks. Inversely, the Maxtrac flip kits do not come with the frame notch for extra clearance so if you want it you need to specify that in the options. The Belltech flip kits include the frame notch.

And if you are looking for performance then I would suggest going with the RideTech Street Grip rear 4 inch flip kit. It is also the only kit that is approved to work with the Ridetech Rear Helper bag kit. The Ridetech 4 inch rear flip kit comes with their HQ shocks (using Fox Shox technology)

Please Note;

Not all combinations of parts have been tested to work together, we recommend selecting one manufacturer's products and using that manufacturer for your complete lowering kit.
