Lowering the rear by more than 2 inches requires shorter shocks.

Notes on rear lowering coils
2019 to 2023 Ram 1500 2WD and 4WD Quad or Crew Cab Lowering Kit
The front suspension on the current series of Ram 4wd trucks had little design change from the 2009 to 2018 models but now the 2wd also feature a front strut. This makes both 2wd and 4wd models sharing some front suspension components. Of course the minor changes required a different strut assembly.
The rear suspension had very little for changes other than coil rate. Keep in mind that some of these trucks feature air suspension that will prevent any except the most extreme lowering efforts.
