We've been selling and installing lowering kits for over 20 years and GM Trucks are by far the most popular trucks to lower. There was a time, back in the 90's, when we used to order S10 spindles 20 sets at a time. Yes, lowering an S10 was that popular back then. There was a time when a customer said to us "I've got a lowered S10" to which we would reply "Well I've got a belly button" Because everybody had one.
The S10 lowering dropped off when GM quit making those trucks but then was followed up by the 1988 to 1998 C1500 trucks. Lowering your 1988 to 1998 Chevy or GMC is cheap and easy to do. A set of spindles or coils in the front with shackles and hangers in the back and you've got a quick and cheap lowering kit that still road OK and handled way better than factory. We still sell a lot of lowering kits for those trucks but now the newer trucks have over taken them. The new lowering spindles (formally referred to as knuckles) are easy to replace and now make it simple to lower your 4wd truck as well as your 2wd Silverado or Sierra. The rear lowering got a bit more difficult when GM decided that the front leaf hanger should become an integral part of the frame. So now anything over a 3 inch drop requires a flip kit, then a raising shackle if it's too low for you. But even a simple 2 inch front and 3 inch rear drop is enough to make a difference for the average driver.
But you're not average. You want to go lower. Well that is still not a problem, it just takes a bit more time and money. The new trucks can go all the way down to a 5 inch front and 7 inch rear drop. They look fantastic and handle like they're on rails.
But no matter if you have a Sonoma or S10, an 88 body style or a newer Silverado or Sierra, we still keep the best lowering kit for your truck in stock. And we always have the best price in Canada and the most knowledgable staff to help you select the right parts for your lowering kit.
