Our lowering selection tool for the 1973 to 1987 GM C10 2WD Complete Lowering Kit. Each kit can be selected with or without either Belltech NitroDrop 2 shocks, or Belltech Street Performance shocks.

Customize your 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987 GM C10 2WD truck.

The Lowering Kit is available in the following configurations.

Leaving the front at the factory height, you can get a 1 inch drop to the rear using shackles.

The economy 2/4 kit lowers the front by 2 inches with coils, you can get a rear drop of 4 inches with shackles and hangers.

To go down 3 inches in the front, use spindles, and again to get 4 inches in the rear, shackles and hangers.

To drop 4 inches in the front, spindles and coils can be used while a flip kit will give you a 6 inch rear drop.

  • The Square Body GM Lowering kit spindles give a 3 inch drop instead of the standard 2 inch drop
  • The rear shackles on the Square Body GMs only lowers 1 inch
  • 1973 to 1980 truck generally came with 1.25 inch thick rotors and the later 1981 to 1987 models came with lighter 1 inch thick rotors but we have seen the odd occasion where this rule does not apply. Please measure your rotor thickness.

The control arm / spindles front end can be lowered with spindles, coils or control arms up to 5 inches.In the rear these trucks have a standard parallel leaf spring system and riveted hangers. A shackle will get you an inch or two, a hanger / shackle combo will give you 4" and a flip kit can get you about 6 inches.
